Wanderlust...
How many of us actually follow our hearts in what our soul is trying to tell us what to do with our lives? Since I was a young girl I never felt like being in one spot, living in one place, staying too long somewhere was never my thing. I always felt a strong yearning to go. As I grew older this pull only became stronger and most of the time I followed that calling.
Over the years most people in my my circle didn't understand this way of life. They saw it as irresponsible or flighty. Iv been called everything from a gypsy to a vagabond. I could never explain why I was doing what I was doing but I knew it wasn't wrong, it was what was right for me and what fulfilled my soul.
It wasn't until 2017 when I was faced with a medical emergency that these feelings really came into perspective. At the age of 35 after months of tests and suffering it was found I have a very serious heart condition. A hole in the heart that wasn't found at birth and this specific hole only affects 5% of people with these defects in the whole entire world. So its very scary and rare. With the new diagnosis and urge to fix my life in any area of error before its too late I dug deeper into the the feelings and pull to always pick up and go. Thats when I found it and finally understood.
Nomomad:
A nomad constantly changes locations, switching from one place to another. Most nomads have some kind of place that they can call home, which is usually where their family or childhood friends are located, but they wouldn't spend more than a few months a year there. Nor would they settle down in a new home and lay roots!
That one paragraph described me inside and out and a huge sigh of relief was exhaled knowing that I did the right thing all these years listening to my dear soul. More digging and research also showed me that this is actually a huge popular thing right now, and there are thousands just like me that live this life and have found their way with family and career and hope all through the nomadic lifestyle.
So now I am on a mission to honor this lifestyle and the others that do it, and even to the ones that can't but want to. I will continue to travel but I'll bring all of you along the way and share our journey through the good and the bad. I am walking living proof that life can go on, even with a broken heart. Stay tuned lots of awesome things coming!
Love always,
Caroline
